Growing up to the sounds of Metallica and Jimi Hendrix and he also rather was more into sports than music. Erik discovered an interest in guitar at the age of 14: receiving a classical guitar for a birthday hectric guitar which allowed him, of course, to play Nirvana songs.

Completely autodidactic he discovered the melodic structures of Johann Sebastian Bach's classical catalogue. Nirvana, Bach and his talent to play wha started to play by ear. Just a year later, he bought his first elet he feels merged to what became a unique style of its own: the "Air Tapping" style.
Erik experimented with a technique, which was unknown until then as "lap tapping" -With the guitar on his lap, he tapped the chords as if it were a piano. The effect was spectacular! People passing by when he started to play public on the streets and subways of Montreal or Barcelona were stunned.
Erik is a passionate musician who is constantly exploring the world of music. We came across with his talent on myspace and on BBC television in November 2009. And guess: We loved it !
