My work is full of
specifics, image, word, material, scale. In how a work (or installation,
ultimately stands and is experienced by an audience. The viewer
is invited into the middle of the symbolic space, which connects
the idea of knowledge and perception. A regard to the tension
that could revolve around the fragile status of chalk on board,
greater extremes of scales or meticulous detail. I attempt to
position the work within a realm of pictorial endeavour or practise
where images and words operate through an artistic language derived
from material within an area defined by this purpose. |
