Renata Fernandez: HIGH STREET HUNTING

The charcoal drawings (on the right) are fairly recent and based on the same subject matter, Tiger Hunting - part of a series of just 10 drawings. Fernandez's had never before used charcoal so intensively. Experimenting with black and white shades for her was a revelation. "Route 11" embraces the city as her natural environment. It is evident that there is a recurrence of formal elements present as on her past work. One can have a glimpse of certain evolutions in an artist's creative process.
